LITTLE EVA'S TEMPTATION poster shows Eliza, from Uncle Tom's Cabin, crossing the ice to escape slave catchers. Uncle Tom's Cabin, the book circulated during the 19th century and was later adapted into what was known as "Tom's Shows," which became a theatrical phenomenon. For 30 or 40 years in this country, "Tom's Shows" toured the country, playing different versions of Uncle Tom's Cabin on any given night.
